London Street Art Selection Part 1

London is well known for its Street Art. It’s not the biggest city in this, the pieces don’t last too long, but it’s inspiration for many Street Artists from all over the world, some of them just come here to leave their pieces and go back home or keep traveling arounds the world.

As I’m a passionate of Street Art, be sure that this post will be the first part of many!

Enjoy!

Autumn in London : A Walk around London Fields

London is different. We all heard about London’s Fog. But when you see it covering everything and just letting your imagination wonder what it is past this white misty atmosphere, and listen to the sounds of nature, everything fades slowly and you just let yourself go…

Welcome to London Fields.

Bienvenidos a London Fields.

Scott Kelby WorldWide PhotoWalk 2011 @ Camden Town Market and Regents Canal, 02-10-2011 (London)

ENGLISH

The WorldWide PhotoWalk, as the name itself says, it’s a worldwide event where thousands of photographers all over the world, meet for a walk around a certain area and during a certain time, explore it and then select and submit a photo for a contest. There’s a lot of things around there but basically this is how it works. It’s easy, it’s fun and free, what else can you ask for?

Thanks to Ed Davis for being our photowalk leader in the archifamous Cadmen Town Market in London.

Here’s a brief selection of my favourite shots of the day. The first one is my favourite and it’s the one I’m submitting to the Photowalk. If you check the photographs where you can see people, you can see that there’s a story behing everyone of them, since the man in the boat until the other one wearing a hat. There is much more than a single image, there’s individuals, there’s characters, every of them performing their own film, the story board of their lives.

Colin Dale Promo Photoshoot (London based renowned DJ)

English

With this photoshoot I was trying to capture London’s essence by using on of the best possible locations, Brick Lane and it’s always full of color and art walls. When I found that one of my favourite artists Malarki had painted some walls a couple days ago around shoreditch, I knew I wanted to shoot there. Colin’s been linked to the city his whole life and he felt comfortable in this places, also, I was trying to run from the classic “as-serious-as-possible” portrait, not trying to make him look as a hard guy but trying to make him look natural and fresh as he is. As you can see I tried to let some air in the pictures so they can be used when he’s performing live on the clubs by graphic designers.

For the photoshoot I used mostly Nikon prime lenses , and I also used an external Nikon Sb-900 in some of the shots along with a flash lightweight tripod at 2m height.

Thanks Marta GM for assisting me, and Colin for making me enjoy this promotional photoshoot as much as possible.

Vogue’s Night Out Zara Oxford Street (London)
